Our 6th Annual COPS Run is a HUGE success!

On Saturday, July 18th, Blue Knights KY VII hosted its 6th Annual COPS Run for Kentucky's Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) at Bluegrass Harley-Davidson.  We had 88 bikes register to ride, many of them two-up.  We collected so many door prizes that EVERYONE that registered walked away with something in return!  We had over $500. in restaurant gift certificates alone, plus other items like motorcycle helmets and apparel, hats, t-shirts and H-D collectibles.  We auctioned off several "big ticket" items, which netted $545.00, and the winners of the 50/50 split $500.    We would especially like to recognize our Sponsors, who helped to ensure that EVERY DOLLAR collected went directly to KY COPS:

• Rick & Judy Bennett and Bluegrass Harley-Davidson.
• Charles "Buddy" Wheeler and Tattoo Charlie's

• Dwight Szabo and Texas Roadhouse (Dixie Hwy.).

At the end of the day, we presented C.O.P.S. National President Jennifer Thacker with a total of $5,635.38.  This year's proceeds, added to the money raised over the previous 5 years, brings the total amount raised for Kentucky's Survivors to over $21,000.00.
